Tomorrow is the big day!

Well i'm sitting here at my desk in my very clean room at 10pm the night before I leave. My bags are packed, blazer is ready and i've just about given up on getting to sleep. Australia said goodbye with a nice hot 39*C day and a bit of sunburn but I loved it...

Saying goodbye is never easy and i'm not one for big emotional goodbyes so today has been pretty tough overall. First my sister left for her softball trip and she cried so I tried to hurry her into the car as quickly as I could. Family friends came around for a swim and I drove my car one last time.

Dinner was a special roast lamb (my favourite) with my mum, stepdad and my grandparents. We ate and played cards and saying goodbye to them was especially difficult. A couple of friends came around to say goodbye and I was given some letters to read on the plane. I have whole book filled with letters from my friends and I can't wait to see what they've written. I just hope it doesn't make me too sad.

My dad is coming around in the morning to say goodbye and then we're leaving for the airport. I really just want to get on the plane and get that part out of the way. I'm not a big fan of flying so i'd really just like to get there as soon as possible.

I also had a phonecall from my best friend's mum. My best friend left for her exchange to Belgium today and she let me know that Elisa got on the plane ok and there were no tears. Let's hope I can be that good tomorrow!

The nerves have really set in now....i'm worried about the language, fitting in making friends...all the usual stuff. I know it'll sort itself out when I get there but it doesn;t stop my mind from contemplating every single thing that could go wrong.

Well I really should get off the computer now so I can pack it in my carry-on luggage. Here's tp hoping I don;t have too much stuff :)

Next time you hear from me i'll be in the magical country of France
xoxo

  2. Hi, it's Marie from CS! I don't know you flight schedule, but you may stop at Changi airport in S'pore, I don't think there's a direct flight for France.
Anyway, I hope you have a good flight. I'm not enjoying flights either so I guess I can understand what you mean.
Alors bon voyage et profite de chaque instant de ton séjour dans mon merveilleux pays :D
